TOYOTA LAUNCHES NEW AND ENHANCED WEBSITES FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

August 5th, 2013 - IRVINE, Calif. - Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc. (TMHU), supplier of North America's No. 1 selling forklift, announced today that it has launched a newly enhanced website for U.S.-based technician employment opportunities at http://www.toyotalifttech.com/, as well as a brand new site for Canadian-based tech jobs provided in both English and French languages at http://www.toyotalifttech.ca/.

The websites allow dealers residing in the U.S. and Canada to post open leads for service technicians, and for job seekers to easily find both shop and road technician opportunities.

"Service technicians are in demand and are sometimes difficult to find," said Melinda Beckett-Maines, national marketing manager for Toyota. "Toyota is pleased to provide the framework for employees and employers to find each other with an improved online application form and the opportunity to upload a resume or any document related to the position."

Toyota dealers offer excellent careers for skilled lift truck technicians in a secure and stable business environment. The network of 220 Toyota dealer locations that sell and service Toyota lift trucks throughout North America provide many employment opportunities. In addition, Toyota invests in its service technicians with extensive training, including a Master Technician Certification Program.

Toyota also offers a special program for technicians with past military involvement. Veterans who join a Toyota Industrial Equipment dealership as a service technician or sales person help not only themselves with a great career, but other veterans as well. In honor of each veteran hired by a Toyota Industrial Equipment dealer in 2013, Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc. and the participating dealer will make a donation to Hire Heroes USA to help other veterans also find employment. Eligible service technicians or salespeople must be hired by December 31, 2013. Toyota also offers veterans a $200 discount on operator safety training. The training results in veterans gaining another job skill by becoming certified forklift operators. This program is available through December 31, 2013 at participating Toyota Industrial Equipment dealers. Please visit your local Toyota Industrial Equipment dealer for a class schedule.
