Driven by economic growth in the Augusta market, Toyota Forklifts of Augusta has begun a 13,300 sq.ft. facility expansion to our Laney Walker Boulevard facility. Permitting was received the first week of September 2014, and construction has begun.

The facility expansion is intended to allow all equipment to be stored inside and out of the weather. The need for equipment storage has increased, demanding more warehouse space for new and pre-owned equipment, off-lease transition units, rent-ready rental units, and room for batteries, chargers and aerial work platforms.

Installation of a paint booth will also allow us to complete the mechanical preparation of pre-owned equipment. Having a quality certified paint process will allow us to increase our ability to finish customers’ requirements on time without having to sublet the process, giving us better control over quality and lead times.

Additionally, the steam clean area will be expanded and relocated to handle increased volume, allowing us to be better equipped to facilitate this process. We are anticipating an on-time completion date of Dec 31, 2014 and look forward to all the efficiencies and process improvements that will be generated by this project.
