TOYOTA MATERIAL HANDLING NORTH AMERICA PRESIDENT & CEO BRETT WOOD APPOINTED INDUSTRIAL TRUCK ASSOCIATIONS NEW CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
July 23rd, 2015 - COLUMBUS, Ind. – Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) President and CEO Brett Wood has been appointed the new Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Industrial Truck Association (ITA)
Wood, previously Vice Chairman of the Board, took over the remaining term of Kion North American President & CEO Brian Butler, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
“The ITA has been the leading organization in the industrial truck industry for more than 60 years,” said Wood. “I’m proud to support an organization committed to connecting and serving the forklift industry and its members.”
Wood previously served as the ITA’s General Engineering Committee Chairman. He has worked in the material handling industry since 1989 and has been attending ITA meetings for over 25 years.
Wood also serves on the Manufacturers Board of Advisors of the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) and the Board of Governors for the Material Handling Institute (MHI). He contributes to both Modern Materials Handling magazine’s editorial advisory board and the Electric Power Research Institute’s Industry Advisory Council. In addition, he sits on the advisory board for the California State Soccer Association, SafetyBeltSafe USA, the national nonprofit organization solely dedicated to child passenger safety, and Team Kids, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering children to change the world.
